About Kat Mugg
Introducing Kat Mugg: A Lifelong Artistic Journey from Studio Owner to Viral Sensation
From the earliest strokes of her childhood to the halls of academic achievement, Kat Mugg, formerly Kaitlyn, has been on a lifelong artistic odyssey. As the owner of Art of the Bodega studio, she carved her path as an influencer in the art world. Armed with a BA in Fine Arts, she furthered her artistic exploration by taking a transformative 3-week intensive training course to master the distinctive Wet on Wet technique®, synonymous with the iconic Bob Ross method of oil painting. However, Kat Mugg didn't stop there; she took the technique and infused it with her unique vision, birthing a distinctive painting style that would soon become a viral sensation.
As an Illinois-based artist, Kat Mugg not only embraces the controlled chaos of oil painting but also shapes the artistic journeys of others. Her enduring passion for the craft radiates through both her classes and paintings. Exploring the delicate equilibrium between discipline and risk, each brushstroke in her art becomes an unplanned journey, leading to the captivating transformation of materials into something entirely new. Kat Mugg's journey, marked by a lifetime of artistic exploration and the creation of her signature style, stands as a testament to her unwavering dedication to the evolving art form she passionately embraces at the helm of Art of the Bodega studio.
